Administrative and Billing Coordinator, Arlington Administration
George Mason University's Arlington Campus Administrative office, which oversees the day-to-day operations and administration of the Arlington Campus, invites applications for the Administrative and Billing Coordinator position. The Administrative and Billing Coordinator will report to the Director of Administration and Operations. Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Administration and Operations for the Arlington Campus;
Schedule recurring meetings such as the Core Operations meetings, Arlington Campus Advisory Board and Arlington Campus Management Team meetings;
General office support to ensure that the office is equipped and maintained to serve the needs of the occupants, including, but not limited to ordering supplies, acting as the office telecomm coordinator and equipment inventory liaison, and arranging for technical and other support services within the office;
Provide financial tracking, reconciliation and documentation of all Arlington Administration accounts;
Invoice external and internal customers who have entered into a rental agreement, space usage agreement or MOU with Arlington Administration and to ensure that payments are processed in a timely manner;
Provide backup support for Campus Operations which may include submitting work orders for facilities issues; processing I-9s for new hires, submitting EPAFs for new wage employees.
Experience working in a fast-paced office environment;
Customer service and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients/customers;
Excellent organization and verbal/written communications skills;
Experience with office administrative support including comprehensive knowledge of computers and/or technical equipment;
Considerable knowledge of applicable computer software programs, including Excel, QuickBooks, Outlook Scheduling and email applications;
Experience in scheduling and organizing meetings;
Financial management and budgeting skills for handling billing and accounts receivable as well as managing the office operational budget;
An associate's degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Strong project management skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines;
Previous knowledge of George Mason or other university experience is a plus;
Knowledge of university programs, policies and procedures, especially in the area of fiscal services.
