Administration Manager

IDS' Senior Vice President/Chief Management Officer is hiring an Administration Manager. This is a new position for the company; expect daily duties to be diverse, ranging from administrative (office manager) to helping execute the tactics she is deploying that make our CEO's vision a reality.

If 9am-5pm is your ideal schedule, this position isn't for you. If ambiguity is your enemy, this position isn't for you. If perfection is your friend, this position absolutely isn't for you. Our priorities constantly ebb and flow, therefore you must be able to quickly adjust your schedule and support. One day you may be developing a communications plan for an event we are exhibiting at and the next, you might be helping our HR department find a purple unicorn candidate for a position in the middle east.

You will be in the room with IDS' executive leadership, therefore you must be discrete and mature. You will be reminding C-suites of their commitments and ensuring the rest of the company is keeping them apprised of issues.

Own and deliver on all of this and your next step could be Administration Director or even Chief of Staff.

Skills required now:

  • Government services marketing we don't buy Facebook ads or worry about vanity metrics like how many hits on our website. We solve 21st century national security challenges therefore we need someone who understands our unique client base and is willing to strategically think about how best to present our services to buyers.

  • Graphic design both page layout and true design, are a plus. Please include a link to your online portfolio.

  • Skilled at financial and operational data extraction and analysis with the ability to succinctly distill and present said data to the executive team.

  • Excellent communication skills. Our CEO and CMO believe in trusting but verifying. Keeping us informed is imperative.

  • Crystal clear understanding of the federal government procurement cycle and federal contracting.

  • Ensure that the CEO and CMO's time are being utilized wisely and they are on track with major projects and initiatives.

  • Corporate governance experience. IDS' family of companies is complex and we require someone who is able to make sure our corporate documents are handled properly.

  • No issue with making sure our conference rooms are spiffed up at the end of the day and our kitchen is clean and stocked with the basics.

Capabilities that we would like, if not, the right candidate will learn:

  • Mergers and acquisitions

  • Budgeting and planning

  • Business intelligence and metrics

  • Building systems and processes that scale a company for growth

  • Software data rights within government acquisition

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment. Typing, talking on the phone, participating in meetings, lifting 40+lbs, safely moving furniture, etc.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, to client locations, tradeshows, etc.

  • Emotionally and mentally agile.

Include a cover letter with a clear and compelling example of how you recently upheld one of IDS' values, which are: integrity, excellence, innovation, and respect. If you are a veteran, proudly state so, as you embody all our values.
