Duties
As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will provide technical and administrative support services for Engineering Services. Duties included, but are not limited to the following.
Knowledge of budget procedures and ability to analyze data
Conducts detailed analyses of complex function and work processed
Obtains and analyses data to equipment requests
Collects the necessary data to establish the facts and take or recommend action
Serves as timekeeper
Conduct annual equipment inventory
Presents findings and recommendations and negotiating solutions to disputed recommendations
Provides ongoing training and assistance to new and incumbent personnel regarding office policies and procedures
Negotiates and advises managers at all levels concerning improvements in services provided
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (EST)

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/09/2024.
Driver's License Requirement: Applicants must possess a current valid state driver's license.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary. However, may require walking; bending; standing; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; or driving an automobile, etc. throughout the medical center (interior and exterior) and visitation to construction sites.
Work Environment: The work is performed in an office setting. The work environment involves everyday risks common to typical office and medical center settings. Work may require travel away from the normal duty station to include inside and outside locations, where demolition construction is present encountering noise, fumes, dust and debris.
