Job Summary

Serve as an expert on the data collection of applicants consent form to perform background screening for incoming candidates; navigating transversely via an aggregation of systems, upholding the data integrity and report results to effectively manage the compliance tracking for the NTP Program. Maintain positive and effective written and verbal communications with Faculty, Staff and incoming recruits.

Job Responsibilities

Primarily responsible (day-to-day) for administration of the NTP background checks; initiate the original screening, run compliance report results, and complete any periodically required checks/reports to ensure applicant is client via PA State law, PA Act 153.
Respond to inquiries and interact with Principal Investigator/PI Designee, as appropriate, when it comes to the status of the applicants status in the background screening process.
Assist in maintaining CHOPs policy by conducting audits; implementing procedure revisions to remain compliant with Federal and State requirements.
Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of the on-boarding plan and start date.
Track applicants status in the background screening vendor system; updating the NTP system with an accurate account of the applicants completion of the screenings.
Serves as link between Principal Investigator and applicants; multiple system require manual manipulation from the NTP team member on the applicants status.
Rectify any issues with the fingerprint or child abuse clearance email; some colleges and institutions reject or spam the Sterling email, work with Sterling Account Executive to have the email re-routed.
Provide education and communication to the research community as it pertains to the compliance rules and regulations.
Manage data in applicable reporting systems.
Manage the organization of data across various system (that are not integrated) so the data is presented accurately and reflects appropriately the applicants department, start and end date.
Assist with the management of the researchntp email account; answering all inquiries timely
Finalize the applicants file once all background screenings are completed; marking the file completed per State and Federal law.
Back-up to the NTP Coordinator; incoming calls and walk-in inquiries

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: High school diploma/GED.

Required Experience: Experience working in customer service in a technical, hospital or other healthcare field. Previous computer experience and/or training.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Relevant post high school training preferred

Good organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks according to program needs
Good communication and telephone skills
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency in word, excel, and departmental databases
