Position summary
This individual is responsible for a variety of program management activities under the supervision of the Department Chair and demonstrates competence in various routine support services which include generating reports, maintaining budgets, managing correspondence with clients, recruits, or other parties outside the program, collecting and maintaining accreditation and assessment documents, and management of confidential files. He/She is required to have extensive computer knowledge as required to maintain program files, spreadsheets, manipulation of web-based applications and for conducting significant amounts of research in support of program accreditation and assessment activities.
Qualifications summary
A bachelor's degree is preferred.
At least one year office experience is required
Experience with recruitment or marketing prefered.
Strong computer skills like Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, Moodle to name a few is required.
Good social skills required - will be working with students from various cultures.
Knowledge of online educational environment preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, report and interpret data is required.
Ability to write reports, engage in business correspondence, etc. is required.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts - balance finacial books
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
Accreditation Support 35% - Maintains and updates program databases. Assists the Department Chair by updating the Department Student Handbooks
Clinical Support 25% - Assists the Clinical Director with arrangements and contracts for new clinical sites. Arranges liability insurance for clinical facilities. Gathers prepares and monitors clinical education information required for accreditation.
Admissions 10% - Coordinates students' application process and admission activities.
Financial 10% - Assists with the oversight of financial budgets and expense accounts. Generates, reviews, and approves Interdepartmental Charges (IDC).
Office Support 20% - Drafts contracts with direction from Department Chair, Performs office tasks, Attends regular faculty meetings and record minutes of meetings. Assists with electronic course scheduling and maintenance.Maintains and updates the Program's website.
Other assignments as assigned by the department chair.
Supervisory responsibilities
Interviews, evaluates and recommends prospective student employees.
Supervises and directs student workers (Assigns work and trains or demonstrates as needed; Reviews completed work; Monitors & insures accuracy of electronic time card).
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask and to prioritize daily activities to meet competing deadlines.
Experience maintaining expense accounts and budgeting preferred
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and shift priorities to meet demands
Ability to effectively deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities among multiple activities which require quick and effective action under conditions of heavy pressure.
Ability to effectively work with diverse groups and individuals.
Advanced computer skills. Ability to perform computer and technology functions with proficiency, specifically in word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must exhibit a cordial demeanor
Self-directed.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
