To serve as a key support role within the Finance department and to assist Management in maintaining proper controls and providing information to make informed decisions.


Internal Controls

  • Develop internal controls for finance/accounting departments

  • Maintain and review periodically to ensure adequacy

  • Report effectiveness and concerns to management


  • Currency Exchange/Hedge exposure

  • Sales & Use Tax payments monthly as well as quarterly overpayment review

  • Various account reconciliations as requested

  • Review internal reporting generated by the Finance/Accounting Departments

Project Management

  • Identify areas in which processes can be improved and implement

  • Support Non-financial managers with financial calculations

  • Represent Finance Department on certain projects

  • Assist with IT/Accounting Initiatives

Year End Audit

  • Coordinate and manage documentation requests

  • Facilitate the collection and production of information within necessary departments

  • Maintain and Manage the communication with external auditors


  • Assist in supporting and maintaining G/L structure

  • Other Accounting/Finance duties as requested by management

  • Manage the account reconciliation process

  • Monitor and implement accounting changes to comply with new pronouncements

  • Maintains regular attendance.Responsible for producing a high quality product.Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.Equal Opportunity Employer.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA, preferred

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years experience in Accounting/Finance

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Project Management practices and tools to lead projects

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Broad knowledge and understanding of Accounting Systems

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve issues or escalate appropriately for resolution

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills

  • A team player with proven ability to work across functional areas and all levels of the organization

Responsibilities Dealing with customers' questions regarding their statements, invoices, credits, etc. Research and resolve customer problems, particularly miscellaneous invoices (MI's) Contacting customers with questions concerning the application of payments on their accounts. Write up any necessary corrections. Entering appropriate notes in Indicium. Will specialize in one or more of the following responsibilities: * Redistributions * Perform necessary adjustments to customers accounts; applying customers credits to existing invoices and re-establishing invoices wrongfully written off. * Transfers * Perform adjusting entries to customers accounts to reflect all adjusting entries that were needed throughout the month. * Daily Reconciliation * Verify daily Sales Reports. * Commissions * Maintain accurate records of salesmen's' activity. * Work with payroll to assure accurate pay-outs. * Credit Card Payments * Process all credit card payments through Payezee and supply Cash Receipts with the proper information for them to apply these payments against the appropriate accounts. * Maintains regular attendance.*Ability to work over time.Performs other duties as requested by Management.Responsible for producing a high quality product.Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.Equal Opportunity Employer.*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
