Persons appointed to this position will receive the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status.Duties:The Office of Admissions is searching for an Assistant Director, International Evaluation that will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating international graduate and undergraduate student admission application data and information. The assistant director will make routine decisions based on established criteria, and counsel and advise prospective, current, and former students, parents, faculty, and staff concerning admission policies, procedures, application materials, and transfer credit issues. Will also lead a team of two admission evaluators.Key Areas of Responsibility/Job DutiesApplication Processing and Evaluation/Credit Evaluation:Responsible for researching and analyzing international educational systems through evaluation guides, school websites, AACRAO Edge, and other sources to determine if admission requirements have been met.Possesses a full range of evaluation expertise and is soley responsible for the evaluation of a wide range of applications.Responsible for international graduate transfer evaluations.Processes transfer and first-year international and domestic applications to determine admission decision of admit, not-admit, or academically eligible.Required to calculate the GPA using domestic GPA rules or determine if academic record indicates admissibility.Evaluates international and domestic transfer courses to determine applicability and if they meet general education, prerequisite, or some major requirements.Responsible for determining if applicant is admissible based on Graduate College GPA requirements.Recommends transfer credit based on graduate level coursework taken elsewhere.As time permits, assist with domestic files.Systems Support and Development; Data Analysis, Research and Reporting:Assists with u.achieve maintenance: builds institution and GPA tables, uses condition codes, writes course equivalency rules for the undergraduate colleges and programs of study, and creates exceptions as needed.Leadership and Supervision:Responsible to work with leadership to address and perform staff training, quality control, staff evaluations, etc.Universal Competencies at a working proficiency level.Note to applicants:
