Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, the college provides an outlet for innovation and cross-disciplinary exposure. It also features pre-professional degrees in biology, alongside our degrees in information systems, and a forensic science and exercise science program.

As an adjunct faculty member, you'll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Course Description: ESG-441L - Power & Energy Systems Lab:

  • The laboratory section of ESG-441 reinforces and expands learning of principles introduced in the lecture course. Hands-on activities include research projects aimed at suggesting solutions to problems in the areas of electrical power generation using a variety of energy sources such as solar, fossil, nuclear and renewable, including solar, geothermal, wind, hydroelectric, biomass and ocean.

    Prerequisites: PHY-122, and PHY-122L, MAT-364, and either EEE-202 or ESG-202. Co-Requisite: ESG-441.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Masters in Electrical Engineering or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or Masters in Biomedical Engineering or Masters in Physics AND 3 or more years industry experience. Preferred: Doctorate.

This includes exercise prescription for populations with various diseases and disabilities. Knowledge gained in this course will contribute to student preparation for professional certification in the field. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following: * Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University. Qualifications: * Minimum: Masters in any Health or Exercise related discipline AND Must hold current credentials from National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
