Description

Rivier University's Division of Business and Security Studies invites ongoing applications for a qualified, credentialed candidate for Operations Management and/or Project Management Instructor - Adjunct Faculty. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Business programs, the Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing operations management related courses with on-campus, face-to-face instruction at the undergraduate level.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join the core Business and Security Studies faculty in the education of students, with the following primary responsibilities:

• Assume teaching, advisement, and mentoring responsibilities for students in the traditional face-to-face teaching and learning model;

• Undergraduate two daytime class meetings per week;

• Participate in ongoing program growth and development, particularly with respect to the integration of technology throughout all program experiences; and

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, both in the division and throughout the University.

Typical Qualifications

• Master's degree is required, a terminal degree in Operations Management and/or Project Management related or highly related field is preferred. These fields may include Operations and Quality Management, Project Management, and Risk Management and Decision-Making;

• The successful candidate will have college-level teaching, academic program, and curriculum development experience; and

• The ability and willingness to support the mission of the University and to work collaboratively and collegially with departmental and institutional colleagues.
