We are committed to providing high-quality online courses for our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Online Course Developer to join our team on an as needed basis and contribute to the creation of engaging, comprehensive, and innovative courses.

Responsibilities

Course Development Responsibilities:

• Develop and design online courses for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program in accordance with curriculum objectives and academic standards.

• Develop course materials and content into suitable online formats, ensuring alignment with ENP (Emergency Nurse Practitioner) curriculum requirements.

• Incorporate multimedia elements, interactive components, and assessment tools to enhance the learning experience.

Adjunct Teaching Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in accordance with University and Departmentally defined policies

• Maintain virtual office hours and communicate with students on an ongoing basis

• Maintain and submit accurate electronic records as per University, Departmental and MSN program requirements

• Keep current in the discipline/area of teaching

• Participate in training on distance-learning methodologies and technologies necessary to facilitate course delivery

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Master's or higher degree in Nursing, with Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) certification.

• Teaching experience, particularly in online environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of adult learning principles.

Preferences:

• Ohio residency is stronger preferred

• Prior experience in course development, preferably in a higher education setting, with a focus on nursing or healthcare-related programs.

• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and course authoring tools.

• Training or certification in Quality Matters (QM) standards is a definite plus.

• Passion for advancing nursing education and contributing to the success of students.
