We are committed to providing high-quality online courses for our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Online Course Developer to join our team on an as needed basis and contribute to the creation of engaging, comprehensive, and innovative courses.
Responsibilities
Course Development Responsibilities:
Develop and design online courses for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program in accordance with curriculum objectives and academic standards.
Develop course materials and content into suitable online formats, ensuring alignment with ENP (Emergency Nurse Practitioner) curriculum requirements.
Incorporate multimedia elements, interactive components, and assessment tools to enhance the learning experience.
Adjunct Teaching Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in accordance with University and Departmentally defined policies
Maintain virtual office hours and communicate with students on an ongoing basis
Maintain and submit accurate electronic records as per University, Departmental and MSN program requirements
Keep current in the discipline/area of teaching
Participate in training on distance-learning methodologies and technologies necessary to facilitate course delivery
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master's or higher degree in Nursing, with Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) certification.
Teaching experience, particularly in online environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
Preferences:
Ohio residency is stronger preferred
Prior experience in course development, preferably in a higher education setting, with a focus on nursing or healthcare-related programs.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and course authoring tools.
Training or certification in Quality Matters (QM) standards is a definite plus.
Passion for advancing nursing education and contributing to the success of students.
