The Department of Mathematics at the College of William and Mary is recruiting a pool of persons for the Spring 2018, and Summer 2018 semesters for possible adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be accessed when and only when an opening arises and is based on funding.

Your credentials will remain active while this pool is open; usually for the academic year. After one year, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current applicant pool. Only those selected for an interview or for further consideration will be contacted.

Possible positions include general lecture instructors, and those with teaching experience in courses in operations research and statistics. Candidates interested in future openings should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information to our online system at http://jobs.wm.edu. References will only be contacted for candidates on the short list.

Minimum Qualifications

MS degree in Mathematics or a closely related field and subject matter expertise as evidenced in CV.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications PhD in Mathematics or at least 2 years of relevant academic teaching

The initial appointment may be issued for a period of up to three years, with renewal contingent upon performance review, departmental need, and funding. A graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field and/or professional actuarial credentials required at the time of application. Industry experience desired. Strong commitment to undergraduate education in preparation for the actuarial exams is required. The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3-3 teaching load. Minimum Qualifications Required Qualifications: A Master's degree or FSA certification is required. A graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field and/or professional actuarial credentials required at the time of application.
