The Center for Excellence in Higher Education (CEHE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. CEHE operates degree-granting career colleges throughout the western United States and online. The college brands include Stevens-Henager Colleges in Utah and Idaho; CollegeAmerica in Colorado and Arizona; California College San Diego, and Independence University (online platform). The colleges offer degree programs from the Associate's level through the Master's level in a variety of disciplines including Computer Science, Graphic Arts, Business/Accounting, Nursing, and Healthcare. Duties include teaching the entire range of appropriate courses from beginning to advanced. Students in these classes are preparing for Associate and/or Bachelor degrees. Basic duties will involve instruction, tutoring, student advising, and some curriculum development. The instructor is responsible for the retention of students from the beginning to the end of the module.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct classes in accordance with established syllabi and lesson plans.

  • Prepare, administer and grade assignments, quizzes and tests.

  • Provide objective and subjective feedback regarding student performance.

  • Maintain records of student attendance, grades, lab, and/or homework assignments.

  • Advise students regarding academic matters to improve successful course completion.

  • Conduct assigned courses that results in a high level of student satisfaction and course completion.

  • Communicate pro-actively with campus administration regarding student issues.

  • Ensure campus and college regulations and policies are known and followed.

  • Maintain a healthy, secure, and safe classroom environment.

  • Participate in scheduled faculty meetings and in services.

  • Report Preparation.

  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree

  • A current working knowledge of all theory and practical applications for courses being taught.

  • Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through appropriate electronic media.

  • Work successfully in a team environment.

  • Hold the appropriate degree for courses being taught, as stipulated by ACCSC.

  • Additional specific requirements listed below where appropriate

You will coordinate with their physician and facility staff to deliver high quality care. Primary Responsibilities: * Provide preventative, primary care, or assessments for patients in Senior Centers or other Primary Care offices. Work with primary care physicians to provide the best care possible * Collaborate with the nursing staff and the patients' families * Conduct assessments on health plan members * Review patient's past medical history and formulate a list of current and past medical conditions using clinical knowledge and judgment and the findings of your assessment * Review current symptoms and identify diagnoses to be used in care management and active medical management of treatment * Physical examination, medication review, and depression screening * Check vitals, conduct a physical exam that includes monofilament test, urine dipstick, and foot exam (as appropriate) * Communicate findings in your assessment that will be used to inform the PCP of potential gaps in care * Educate members on topics such as disease process, medication, and compliance * Comply with all HIPAA regulations and maintain security of protected health information (PHI) Required Qualifications: * Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of assignment or the ability to obtain * 2 years clinical experience * Ability to obtain DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority post-hire in states where applicable * Nurse Practitioner national certification as ANP, FNP, or GNP required or PA-C A * Clinical background in adult, family or geriatric specialties * Past experience working in with seniors * Computer literate and able navigate the internet Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in gerontology, cardiology, internal medicine, or endocrinology * Excellent administrative, organizational and verbal skills * Ability to follow established dress code * Effective communication skills with the geriatric or Medicare population * Ability to work independently * Detail oriented * Dependable and reliable Careers with Optum.
