Job Title Adjunct Instructor Pool - Ram Rebound Position Summary

Designs and delivers instruction in the ASE Ram Rebound Program. Participates in all department, various schools, and University-wide tasks and activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares lessons on time management, organization, note-taking, textbook reading, test-taking, academic resources, college wellness, academic recovery and academic skills and success.

• Delivers instruction to probationary students in the Ram Rebound program and meets classes for the required time and days in accordance with polices established for class schedule.

• Adheres to the faculty handbook and faculty guide.

• Holds required office hours and submits contracts, book requests, syllabi, grades, evaluations, and other required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.

• Participates in curriculum assessment.

• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Academic Advising & Student Success.

Education, Certifications and/or Licenses

• A bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, from an accredited college.

Experience

• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.

• Experience in college or university advising, learning center, or academic success preferred.

• Experience working with a diverse group of students.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Evidence of teaching excellence preferred.

• Knowledge time management and organizational strategies.

• Knowledge college-level textbook-reading and note-taking strategies.

• Knowledge college campus resources.

• Knowledge in different learning styles.

• Knowledge test-taking approaches and preparation strategies

• Knowledge GPA calculation.

• Knowledge university advising, registration, and grading processes and procedures.

• Ability to work effectively with other University personnel.

• Ability to manage time effectively.

• Ability to comply with rules, standards, regulations, FERPA related laws, and laws related to student records and confidentiality.

• Ability to adhere to University and departmental policies and procedures.

• Ability to use discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
