Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Environmental Sustainability
Reports To: Chair, Division of Natural Science
Status: Contract, Part-Time
Summary and Responsibilities:
Adjunct Faculty Position in Environmental Sustainability. This is a multidisciplinary course that examines the topic of environmental sustainability from several unique perspectives, including alternative energy resources, the influence of climate change on ecological diversity, and pollutants their impact on human health.
Emphasis is placed on anthropogenic contributions to climate change, the maintenance of biodiversity and opportunities to effect change through individual actions and civic engagement.
This is a laboratory science course for non-science majors and is offered during the traditional 14-week semester schedule.
Requirements:
A Master's degree or higher is required, in environmental studies, biology or a related field, or in education.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
