Schreiner University's Division of Education is accepting applications for its Adjunct Pool for Fall 2024 and Spring - Summer 2025. The Adjunct Instructor of Education is a part-time semester to semester assignment, and the Department of Education is looking for two individuals who fall into the categories of one or more:
Adjunct Professors of Education in the Online Master of Education Program and the Online Principal as Instructional Leader Certification Program.
Adjunct University Field Supervisors for the MEd plus Teacher Certification Program and Adjunct University Field Supervisors for principal certification candidates.
Adjunct Undergraduate instructors for Teacher Certification and Pedagogy courses- part time.
APPLICANTS MUST BE TEXAS CERTIFIED WITH TEXAS TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is an excellent flexible position for retired teachers who want to have great impact on future teachers.
Position start dates will vary.
MEd Adjunct Professors will be needed in Fall. Spring and Summer Sessions for 2024-2025
Field Supervisor will vary according to need and area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach interactively online, provide consistent student communication, and feedback on assessment.
Teach online graduate classes under the supervision of the Director of Education and program mentor. Courses are already created in Canvas course management system.
Participate in service to the program and the Division of Graduate Program in Education through trainings offered to graduate faculty.
Supervise field experiences of intern teachers or principal certification candidates who are adding certification through the graduate program.
Undergraduate Adjuncts also teach online in a variety of Texas Certification fields- Required Texas Certification and MEd minimum.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Earned doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph. D) in Education
Full-time TEXAS teaching experience in EC-12 school classrooms with exemplary recommendations in Texas.
Administrative experience for those applying to teach in the principal program. MUST BE PRINCIPAL CERTIFIED IN TEXAS plus T-TESS certified.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Willing to attend online regional field supervisor or field coaching training (paid for by the university).
