Job Description:
The School of Professional Studies Education Department at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio invites applications from qualified individuals to teach graduate counseling courses.
Courses in several topic areas may be available, including the following:
School Counseling
Mental Health Counseling
Addictions Counseling
Research
Family Therapy
Requirements:
Applicants must hold an earned Doctorate degree in Counselor Education (CACREP accredited program graduates are desired) or a related field; must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of current best practices in the specific fields of:
School Counseling
Community Counseling
Mental Health Counseling
Qualifications:
Background in counseling or previous teaching at the university level preferred.
Willingness to teach courses in a variety of formats including traditional, weekend and online.
Must be student centered.
Must demonstrate outstanding presentation/teaching skills.
Must incorporate technology and model best teaching practices.
Applicants for School Counseling must have at least one the following: Texas School Counseling Certification, LPC, NCC
