Marketing Statement: Hill College is a comprehensive, two-year community college with campuses in Hillsboro and Cleburne, Texas. An additional Higher Education Center is in Burleson, Texas.
Job Summary: It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide the learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of the course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the college and the community. Primary responsibilities are to plan, develop and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning.
Adjunct faculty are hired in a part-time capacity on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the college and business community. Hill College accepts application material year-round from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Adjunct (part-time) faculty hiring is based on demand.
Must be able to teach the fundamentals of: CNC Programming; Basic Machine Shop; Machine Shop Math, Technical Math, Motor Controls; Pumps, Compressors and Mechanical Drive; Robotics Fundamentals; Lathe and Mill Operations; Precision Measuring Tools, Quality Control, Safety, Frontline Supervision and Blueprint Reading.
Minimum Required Education: An associate degree (or higher) in Machine/Manufacturing Technology or related manufacturing/engineering field or 3 years' work experience in an industrial machining environment and industry recognized certification.
Minimum Required Experience: Work experience and significant hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: Blueprint reading, machine shop math, technical math, quality control, and safety. Professional experience setting up and operating CNC milling/turning machines, and use of precision measurement equipment.
Preferred Experience: Prior higher education teaching experience or comparable experience in a corporate training environment is preferred.
