Adjunct Instructor, Education Studies

Spring 2025 (March 31 to June 6)

College of the Atlantic's Educational Studies program seeks two adjunct instructors to teach the following team-taught course required for candidates interested in pursuing Maine educator licensure.

• Integrated Methods 2: PK-6 Math

• Integrated Methods 2: PK-3 Science and/or Social Studies

The above courses are required for candidates seeking Maine educator licensure. The existing course description can be found at the embedded links. Please note that the integrated methods course is team-taught with instructors focusing on grades PK - 3 and grades 3-6. The team consists of subject as well as grade-level experts. Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Education or related field

• At least five years of successful experience in a PK - 6 setting as a classroom teacher or content specialist (e.g., math specialist)

• Experience teaching college students or adult learners

• Willingness to teach in a program whose conceptual framework is inspired and informed by Human Ecology
