Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.

General Description:

William Woods University is now accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach doctoral level courses in areas such as Executive Leadership and Decision-Making, Advanced Finance, Applied Economics, Business Intelligence, Evidence Based Scholarship, Global Strategy, Advanced Organizational Behavior, Marketing, and Strategic Human Resources in our Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. Courses will be taught online.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach doctoral level coursework in an online setting.

• Maintain annual professional development according to personal and professional need.

• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• A doctoral degree in the subject area to be taught is required.

• Experience teaching at the doctoral level to include curriculum development is required.

• Demonstrated research and scholarship experience required.

• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in online settings is required.

• Commitment to serving on dissertation committees as chair and/or committee member is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.

• Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.

• Excellent computer skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.

• Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents.

• Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision.

• Outstanding conflict resolution skills.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position, which begins Fall 2024 and will continue based on the needs of the program. Adjunct positions remain open until filled.
