Adjunct Instructor - Dental Hygiene - Farmingdale State College

Job Description:

The Department of Dental Hygiene at Farmingdale State College is seeking part-time adjunct positions. The position includes clinical faculty responsibilities and/or laboratory and clinical radiology responsibilities.

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must hold a current license to practice Dental Hygiene in NYS, along with current certification in local infiltration anesthesia/nitrous oxide analgesia.

• Significant progress towards obtaining a master's degree in dental hygiene or a related discipline. Master's degree must be completed within two years of hire.

• Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.

• Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills.

• Minimum of five years clinical practice experience.

• Current membership in the American Dental Hygienists' Association.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous clinical or didactic teaching experience in dental hygiene.

• Previous laboratory or didactic teaching in radiology
