Instructor of English Writing
The Biola University English Writing Program (EWP) is accepting applications for two to three part-time writing instructors, to begin August 2024. Courses may include ENGL112, a first-year critical thinking and writing course (capped at 18 students per class); ENGL100, a stretch-model writing course that includes working with teaching assistants (capped at 18); and ENGL 313, an upper-division writing-in-the-disciplines course (capped at 18). The EWP is committed to cultivating diversity and the integration of faith and learning.
Education and Experience Required
Candidates are required to have at least an MA in hand by the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester; or a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) for ENGL 313. Candidates with prior teaching experience, including graduate instruction, in rhetoric and composition (especially in L2 and/or Basic Writing) are preferred.
