Job Description:
The Urban Studies Program at Roger Williams University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach URBN 100 Introduction to Urban Studies. URBN 100 offers an interdisciplinary foundation for the exploration of a Core Concentration or Minor in Urban Studies. Requirements:
The qualified applicant will hold an appropriate advanced degree (eg: Ph.D., MCRP.) in a field that addresses the Urban Condition.
Faculty members and practitioners from a variety of disciplines with a focus on urban issues may be qualified to teach this course including, but not limited to, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Urban Geography, City and Regional Planning and Urban Design. Previous teaching experience and knowledge of engaging pedagogical methods are preferred.
At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
