Position Summary: The Psychology Program is seeking applicants to fill adjunct teaching positions for:
Courses will begin on August 19, 2024.
Responsibilities:
Selected candidates will be able to effectively deliver course content and assess student learning.
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, including, but not limited to,
developing and presenting effective lessons,
facilitating group discussion,
creating appropriate assignments and activities,
responding to student inquiries,
and grading and providing feedback in a prompt manner.
Qualifications: Applicants must possess a minimum of a master's degree in psychology or a related field. College teaching experience and the ability to provide evidence of such experience is highly preferred.
Positions Available:
Lifespan Development (2 sections are available; in-seat)
The course covers physical, cognitive-intellectual, and social-personality development from infancy through old age.
Must be able to teach on campus MWF between the hours of 10:00 AM through 12:00 PM.
Cognitive Psychology (1 section is available; online)
The course covers human cognition, including such topics as attention, perception, pattern recognition, memory, language, problem-solving, creativity, and decision-making.
Must be available to teach an online course.
