Adjunct Faculty Physician Assistant Studies - NSU Muskogee
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Northeastern State University (NSU) invites applications for a part-time, adjunct position teaching Clinical Medicine courses in the Physician Assistant Studies program at the Muskogee campus.
Responsibilities
The adjunct faculty will be involved in lecturing, precepting, instruction in procedures as well as participating in selected administrative activities of the program. The number of hours and types of activities will be specified in a work agreement for each of the adjunct faculty positions.
Maintain knowledge of the profession, healthcare, and content areas of teaching assignments.
Maintain office hours consistent with institutional policies.
Attend faculty and other meetings.
Participate in and be familiar with learning content delivery methods used within the university and program.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with preference of individuals with experience in higher education.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and writing).
Education Requirements
Licensed by the state of Oklahoma as a Physician Assistant.

COMPENSATION
Non-tenure track $1,250.00 per credit hour.

The College of Science and Health Professions currently has 76 full-time and 18 part-time faculty members in three academic
departments: the Department of Health Professions, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and the Department of Natural Sciences. The College serves approximately 1,100 undergraduate majors in 13 different degree programs with specific areas of specialization in Biology (Cellular and Molecular Biology, Fish and Wildlife Biology, Organismic Biology, and Biology Education), Chemistry (Professional, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Chemistry Education), Computer Science, Physics (Applied Physics and Physics Education), Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Nutritional Science, Speech Language Pathology, Nursing (RN → BSN), and Medical Laboratory Science (BS and MLT → MLS).
