Berkshire Community College (BCC) has the distinction of being the first community college established in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Job Description:
We are looking for a colleague who enjoys sharing expertise and enthusiasm with students preparing for an associate degree in our physical therapist assistant program. Founded in 1990, the PTA program at Berkshire Community College is well-established and recognized beyond Massachusetts. We are proud that our first-time licensure pass rates consistently exceed the national average.
Adjunct faculty members teach labs and lectures, for instance PTA 102 (Structural Anatomy), PTA 103 (Introduction to Physical Therapy), PTA 200 (Rehab Neurology), or PTA 204 (Therapeutic Exercise).
BCC offers comprehensive professional development opportunities for adjunct faculty members, tailored to individual needs and goals.
Requirements:
Masters degree or higher in a related discipline. Equivalent training or experience will be considered.
Massachusetts physical therapist/ physical therapist assistant license
At least one year of experience in a clinical setting
Ability to work harmoniously in an institution that values diversity, equity, equality, and inclusion.
Teaching experience preferred
Strong experiential background in foundational patient care preferred
Strong experiential background in foundational orthopedic assessment, including palpation, goniometry and special tests preferred
Additional Information:
Salary: $1,291/credit - $1,561/credit, based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, (non benefited)
