FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College seeks candidates to teach a variety of undergraduate courses within the discipline of Psychology, including but not limited to Introductory courses, Human Development over the Life Span, Social/Personality. The successful candidate will have completed significant coursework, research and/or professional experience in the area of Psychology, and/or a related field.

The candidate must be able to teach in-person classes at the main Kingsborough campus, as well as possible satellite locations in Brooklyn. Innovative teaching and curriculum development, as well as a firm commitment to equity and inclusion in the classroom, a plus.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology and/or a related field required, Ph. D. preferred.

For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

COMPENSATION

Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour

Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 - $118.45 per hour

Adjunct Professor: $112.50 - $130.49 per hour

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
