Adjunct Faculty-Online Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Pmhnp)

Overview:

Franklin University's School of Nursing seeks applications for part-time adjunct instructors to educate future PMHNPs. Initial openings are anticipated for August 2024, with applicants added to a pool for consideration as positions become available. The role involves teaching specific coursework within the online Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the program chair, the adjunct instructor will:

Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction, including live remote sessions.

Manage assigned courses promptly, including communication and grading.

Offer course review and feedback as requested.

Hold a minimum of five (5) office hours per week.

Collaborate with internal and external partners such as libraries and tutoring services.

Participate in the admissions process and provide guidance for student projects.

Assist with clinical experiences, including preceptorship support.

Education / Experience Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in nursing.

Minimum 2 years of online or remote teaching experience.

At least 1 year of current clinical practice as an APRN.

Current unencumbered RN nursing license and APRN certification in the state of employment.

National APRN certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.

Online teaching experience at the graduate level.

Experience with asynchronous teaching.

Compact or multi-state license.
