Adjunct Faculty: Occupational Therapy

Dominican University New York's Occupational Therapy Program is seeking an adjunct faculty member to join us in teaching the two research-based courses in either our well-established nontraditional weekend format or our new one-weekday-per-week format. This position will work closely with the full-time OT Research Coordinator/teaching faculty member.

Requirements for a successful candidate:

1.Occupational therapist with initial NBCOT OTR certification

2.Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience

3.Earned research doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc, etc. in OT or health-related field); doctoral candidate within one year of dissertation completion, or post-professional OTD with bona fide research project and peer-reviewed publication will be considered

4.Knowledge of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research design

5.Experience presenting in professional forums

6.Basic knowledge and experience in the use of Excel and/ or SPSS for quantitative data analytics

7.Be available outside of classroom teaching hours to communicate and meet with students and the faculty research project mentors

Additional preferred qualifications:

1.Current New York OT license or eligibility

2.Knowledge and experience in using Blackboard LMS

3.Knowledge and experience in the use of qualitative analysis software

4.At least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal within the past 5 years

Salary: $3,600 or $7,750 per course depending upon the total number of credits.
