Job Description:

The Office Administration Department, the Division of Career and Technical Education and Business, invites applications for anticipated adjunct faculty vacancies for the spring 2019.

Medical Coding Adjunct Faculty members are wanted for afternoons, and evenings on the Danvers campus beginning on January 15, 2019.

Please refer to the Find Courses link on the College website for specific course descriptions within the OFT codes.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in a health related field.

  • Medical Coding Certificate is required.

  • Minimum of three years work experience in Medical Coding within the past five years.

  • Teaching experience in higher education and/or at the community college level is strongly preferred.

  • Experience teaching online/hybrid and/or embedding the use of technology into the curriculum preferred.

  • A commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body is also required.

Additional Information:

Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours. Effective January 15, 2019, the salary will be $1,104 per credit for first time faculty. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

VIEW JOBS 12/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-07T00:00 Job Description: The Mathematics Department, Division of STEM and Education, invites applications for the following anticipated adjunct faculty vacancy for the Spring 2019 semester: MAT 110 - Mathematics Literacy (Gateway to College) Location: Danvers Campus Schedule: Day schedule, 12:30pm-2:45pm on Mondays and Wednesdays This course is designed to develop mathematics literacy skills that are required in non-STEM pathways. Topics include solving relevant real world problems using equations, graphs, proportions, algebraic concepts, finance, and linear functions. Use of technology is integrated throughout the course. Successful completion of this course with a grade of C or better satisfies math prerequisites for MAT 14X courses. Fulfills liberal arts and open elective. About the the Gateway to College program: The Gateway to College program at North Shore Community College serves young people at risk of not completing high school or who have stopped attending school.
