Job Description

Part-time faculty for the Fall 2024 semester. The successful candidate will teach two lower-division survey courses in U.S. History. Job duties include teaching Dual-Credit / Early College High School (DC/ECHS) courses exclusively at the East Central High School campus in San Antonio, Texas. Applicants must be available to teach face-to-face courses during regular school hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the duration of the Fall 2024 semester. Applicants will have an opportunity to participate in professional development activities related to DC/ECHS teaching.

Salary:

$3000/course plus $500 DC/ECHS stipend per course

Required Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in History, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.

• 18 completed graduate course hours in History, or a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience with teaching undergraduate History classes.

• Experience working with non-traditional, first-generation students.

• Experience teaching high school students
