Job Description
Multiple part-time adjunct instructors are needed for teaching college level mathematics courses for FALL 2024 and SPRING 2025. The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a non-tenure track adjunct faculty in mathematics. Responsibilities may include teaching any of these undergraduate courses in mathematics
Required Education and Experience:
An earned Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
Prior college mathematics teaching experience and experience with Blackboard, our Learning Management System.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Working towards (ABD) or has earned Ph.D. in Mathematics, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Broad training in mathematics.
Excellent (1) oral and written communication skills and (2) presentation skills.
Interest in active and collaborative learning, and the use of instructional technology for face to face and online courses.
Experience with Blackboard, our Learning Management System.
Experience with non-traditional commuter university setting.
Experience with a culturally diverse student body.
