Job Summary

This adjunct faculty member teaches courses in the area of Criminal Justice within the College's School of Justice Program.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides classroom instruction

• Participates in curriculum development and revision

• Assess the curriculum against state and national standards

• Supervises field experiences and/or inernship

• Serves as a resource for faculty members and other program areas

• Serves on school, campus and College committees

• Recruits and advises Criminal Justice Students

• Participates in grant writing and acquisition of external funding for the School of Justice

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice or Public Safety

• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

• Three (3) years experience in college or univeristy teaching preferred

• Must possess current knowledge of curriculum and methodology issues in Public Safety and Criminal Justice

• Qualified applicants must demonstrate positive human relationa and communications skills

• Must be willing to work on mutiple campuses/outreach locations
