POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Health & Physical Education

RESPONSIBILITIES: To serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Health & Physical Education program, teaching up to 9 credit hours per semester. Include the following:

• Teaching opportunities include EMU's main campus in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

• Health & Physical Education courses include sport activity, athletic training, and first aid course offerings.

• Courses include:

• PEG 115 A Fitness, Conditioning, & Weight Training (fall)

• PEG 120 A Table Tennis/Net Games (fall)

• PEG 130 A Beginning Volleyball (spring)

• HE 301 A Athletic Training (fall)

• HE 201 A First Aid (spring)

• PEM 142 A Teaching Team Sports (fall)

• HE 260 A Teaching, Ministry, & Healthy Sexuality (spring)

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate degree in Health & Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related field preferred, Master's degree with professional sport related experience required.

POSITION DETAILS: Faculty are contracted per course. Salary determined by education.

APPOINTMENT DATE: Courses begin August 2024, or January, 2025. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
