Responsibilities

The Department of Digital Art and Design anticipates openings for part-time (adjunct) instructors in the Spring 2024 at its Old Westbury and Manhattan locations to teach undergraduate courses in graphic design. Particular subjects we are seeking at this time include understanding Visual Identity, but may include other subjects depending on the need, including Web Design, Book Design, and more.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience in the fields of traditional and digital art and design.

Academic experience is a plus.

Candidates should have technical knowledge and proficiency in Adobe CC, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects. Experience in Maya is a plus.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.

USD $95.00/Hr.

Maximum Salary

USD $104.00/Hr.
