The History Program at CSU Pueblo provides a stimulating and rigorous program of study that prepares students for a very wide range of careers in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. The program is led by an exceptionally engaged and student-centric faculty who are committed to the highest standards of teaching and research, and it offers a wide range of exciting and essential courses on topics such as Constitutional History, History of the West, U.S. Foreign Policy, and Civil Rights, while also offering students access to teacher certifications and internships.

The pay structure for this position is:

$735/ credit hour for those with a Master's degree

$835/ credit hour for those with a Doctorate degree

Description of Job

The History Program is soliciting applications for adjunct faculty to teach courses in American and World History at the introductory level. Preference is given to those candidates who are available for in-person instruction. The History curriculum, with brief course descriptions, is available online.

Primary Duties

All responsibilities of faculty members at CSU Pueblo are in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. The Faculty Handbook is the authoritative guide on specific requirements with regard to teaching assignments, scholarly activity, research, and service.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in History or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in History with an emphasis in American or World History

  • Prior experience teaching undergraduate courses in History

This position is not eligible for benefits.
