Position Title Adjunct Faculty-Department of Rehabilitation Job Type Adjunct Position Information

Resumes are currently being accepted for adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Rehabilitation. Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each semester.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses (REHA and RPSY 200- 400 level courses) and the Masters level courses (RECN 500 to 700 level courses).

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Classification 25-0000 Education, Training, and Library Occupations Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Rehabilitation or a closely-related field.

• Minimum of four years experience in rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling, or related areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling or a closely related field.

• To teach at the Masters' level, CRC is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to function autonomously, communicate effectively, cooperate and interact pleasantly with all contacts.

• Ability to present a positive, professional image of the Rehabilitation Department, School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

• Excellent communication skills to include fluency in English. Familiarity with computers, proficiency in basic office programs such as Word and Excel, or the ability to learn quickly is necessary.

Certifications/Registrations

Licensure in Rehabilitation, LGPC/LCPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LGADC/LCADC, (Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor), LGMFT/MFT, (Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapy/Marriage and Family Therapy). Licensure in other closely-related disciplines will be considered.
