Summary of Position: Adjunct supervisors are essential to providing a quality academic experience for Indiana Wesleyan University students. Adjunct supervisors will employ a range of onsite observation and mentoring strategies designed to foster the development of teacher candidates in practicum and/or student teaching. Applicants must have appropriate academic or professional experience within the given academic discipline, demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning, and be able to integrate their Christian faith into the mentoring role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to candidate journal reflections and review lesson plans prior to teaching
Complete all required onsite field observations and in-person debrief with teacher candidate
Promptly complete each pedagogical evaluation and submit via Watermark (the STE's assessment system)
Coordinate with Program Director and/or Academic Dean regarding field experience or student issues in a timely manner
Evaluate all summative portfolio elements (student teaching only)
