Adjunct Faculty - Managerial Accounting - Bellarmine University

Job Description:

The Bellarmine University Accounting program seeks a part time adjunct faculty member, who will teach Principles of Managerial Accounting. The class is to be offered in person from 10:00 am to 10:50 am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, August 22nd to December 4th in the fall of 2024 with a final exam the week following December 4th .

The course description is as follows: Designed for all business majors to introduce the core concepts of managerial accounting and a complete overview of managerial planning, budgeting, analysis and decision making (prerequisite ACCT 101.)

The successful candidate will perform tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction.

The teaching load will be three credit hours in the fall semester of 2024 but there is a possibility to renew in the future. Contracts are issued on a semester by semester basis.

Requirements:

• Minimum M.S. or M.A. in accounting or related field (with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in accounting).

• Applicants must exhibit a strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate accounting courses.
