Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses up to 10 hours/week
Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes
Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors:
Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
The equivalent OR
Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification
Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service
