The Department of Biology at TCNJ seeks an adjunct instructor to teach the Foundations of Biological Inquiry course (BIO 201) in the Fall of 2024.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lessons and oversee labs.

  • Attend in-person sessions and maintain attendance records.

  • Follow the program's required quality improvement system, including providing specified assessment data related to your course(s).

  • Follow the program's syllabus or course outline, as applicable.

  • Prepare and grade final examinations or term projects, where applicable, for purposes of evaluating student performance.

  • Submit a grade report for each course taught to the office of Records and registration on the date requested.

  • Administer student evaluation surveys.

  • Comply with all applicable policies at the College. (see: Policies, Procedures & Handbooks and Adjunct Faculty Handbook).

  • Schedule Office hours to meet with students per the AFT Adjunct Faculty Memorandum of Agreement regarding office hours

Required Qualifications:

  • PH.D. or comparable degree in Biology

  • Proof of previous teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an instructor is preferred
