Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Additive Manufacturing Technologist to work in our Analytical Chemist department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.
Dynamic additive manufacturing role focused on the development of printed sensors and electronics. You will collaborate with a team of experienced scientists and engineers to address intricate challenges across diverse research projects by mastering state-of-the art printing and characterization equipment while also supporting materials development efforts. Initial work will be supervised by professionals, with a clear path towards autonomous task management and technical responsibilities as familiarity and proficiency grow.
Responsibilities Include:
Engaging with several project teams, maintaining lab equipment, ensuring the lab's operational standards are upheld and occasionally supporting report and proposal writing.
May work directly with a variety of laboratory R&D "customers" requesting additive manufacturing related services, R&D project principal investigators and line management.
A basic understanding of engineering principles, materials science, manufacturing processes and 3D printing techniques is necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S and 0 years in mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
