We are seeking a hands-on Director of Data Warehousing and Reporting to join our Data Strategy and Analytics team reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Strategy and Analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, development, and optimization of our data warehousing infrastructure, as well as maintaining and enhancing the Analytical layer and downstream BI platforms. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of our data assets, while also enabling our teams to extract actionable insights to support informed decision-making across the organization.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Data Strategy and Analytics.

Position Responsibilities:

Data Warehousing Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's data warehouse, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

  • Maintain and enhance Madrigals Analytical layer (HCP, HCO, Payor, Patient, and Geo) in support of reporting and BI needs.

  • Define and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance

  • Lead efforts to optimize data architecture and infrastructure to support evolving business needs and emerging technologies.

Reporting and BI Development:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Director of Analytics to understand reporting requirements and develop a reporting layer to support BI development

  • Responsible for building and maintaining BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.

  • Ensure that BI tools and technologies are effectively utilized to empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally within the Commercial Strategy and Analytics team to foster a Data-driven culture through data literacy and self-service analytics

  • Support the Director of analytics in Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data and systems to help drive strategy and performance monitoring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Prior experience in BI development preferred, including designing and implementing BI solutions, developing reports and dashboards, and optimizing BI performance.

  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and technologies, including ETL processes, data modeling, and dimensional modeling.

  • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and BI platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

  • Experience with Veeva Nitro a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
