Summary of Work
The Adult Addiction Unit has a full time position available. Evening hours are required with flexible scheduling.
We are an active unit providing levels of care to include: 1 to 3.1. This position requires teamwork and organizational skills. Must have the ability to work in a high-paced, exciting environment.
This position involves working with a diverse population of consumers providing creative, innovative, and evidence-based treatment approaches with understanding of Recovery Management and Stage Based Treatment models; addiction group therapy, family and individual therapy, integrated team based services, and community outreach. Will coordinate services with agencies in the community, including other interagency referrals within the Center.
Requires current licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners and two years experience as a licensed addiction counselor. A master's degree may substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
If unable to find qualified applicants, will consider filling as an Addiction Counselor I (4132), which requires licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the ND Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners.
If unable to find qualified applicants, will consider underfilling as an Addiction Counselor Technician (4131), which requires completion of a degree listed above. Must be participating in, or have been approved to participate in, the local addiction counseling training consortium to be considered at this level.

The Department's Human Resource Division staff will score applications against the minimum qualifications and preferences listed on the job announcement and qualifying military service.
