We are looking for a hard-working person who enjoys taking on challenges and following through with robust solutions to join our Active Safety and Automated Driving Calibration team! ADAS Diagnostics and Communication Calibration Engineers are integrally involved in the development of calibrations which support communications and diagnostic functions of the ADAS systems. You will work to establish a collaborative environment supporting the lead calibrator and diagnostic strategist, as well as partners including the members of the vehicle platform, manufacturing plant and quality team. This role requires the management of tasks throughout the entire vehicle development lifecycle including requirements definition, calibration design and implementation, testing, and problem resolution
Perform complex ECU communication protocols (LIN, CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, SPI), ADAS sensors (cameras, LIDAR, RADAR, HDLM, GPS, HPIMU, ultrasonic) diagnostics and problem solving.
Develop and support next generation Autonomous diagnostic and prognostic algorithms by utilizing existing ADAS, co-pilot and "super cruise" data. (Data Recording TRB)
Design and supervise key strategic interfaces within Vehicle Calibration and Engine Controls
Root cause on-board and offboard vehicle issues.
Act as Development and Calibration representative in sub-system workgroups by attending meetings (TRB, CPIT, VPIT, DevVal, PDT, etc.)
Efficiently collect and analyze empirical data
Design Tests to efficiently find opportunities for design improvements
Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and innovative methodologies
Identify and document calibration vulnerabilities and build mitigation action plans; track
Additional Job Description
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related Engineering degree
Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate professional engineering experience
Experience with serial communication tools and protocols
Experience with data acquisition and analysis on complex problems
Ability to work in an ambiguous environment developing cutting edge technology
Experience working with MATLAB and SIMULINK
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and in a team environment under minimal direction
Possess a valid driver's license, as well as ability to operate and subjectively evaluate performance of test vehicles
Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition hardware and software tools
Experience with embedded controls software and relevant tools including RTC, Vehicle Spy and ETAS INCA measurement and calibration tools
Knowledge or experience with Automated Driving and Active Safety systems
Previous diagnostics, communications, HMI or other calibration experience
Experience with CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, and adaptive AUTOSAR protocols
