Position Summary

Bank of America's Accessibility Excellence team is focused on delivering top-tier accessible technology and standards consulting, training, and other services to our application design, development, and QA teams who build and maintain external facing web and mobile solutions used by customers of multiple lines of business. The team performs a number of other strategic functions such as industry tools research, serves as the enterprise ADA training subject matter expert, and acts as liaison to internal corporate Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams among others.

We are seeking an individual with significant Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process experience to the lead a rapid consolidation and conversion of all existing technical Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) reference and training materials to autonomous use by any internal project teams, coordinate net-new creation of materials supporting the enhanced WCAG 2.1 standards, lead ongoing process and materials improvement, assist with internal application remediation engagement needs, and other related activities.

An ideal candidate will have a strong background within the application development/software engineering arena and be able to leverage challenges they've encountered to improve the ADA consulting project execution model for future application change and remediation efforts for both external and customer facing applications.

Required Skills/ Background

  • Strong and detailed understanding of the SDLC and methodologies from Waterfall to Agile programming practices Knowledge of WCAG 2.0/2.1, ARIA standards, and other industry guidelines related to Accessibility Technology (AT)

  • Experience with industry leading AT applications and functionality such as: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and others

  • Existing Bank of America application development processes experience preferred

  • Experience developing and presenting metrics and reporting

  • Impeccable communication skills adaptable to the audience (technology development teams through senior executives)

  • Creative self-starter who brings challenges to light along with proposed solutions, and is able to balance line of business needs with that of our disabled customers

  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and effectively prioritize work to meet competing deadlines, excellent organizational skills

Career Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience within a Computer Science related field or applicable application development/engineering arena

  • 10 years application development/engineering experience working directly within project teams and/or as a project manager

  • Experience per above within a large financial institution, Bank of America preferred

  • Prior management/team leader experience

  • Prior business management and process development/improvement preferred

  • Technical design experience preferred

Desired Certification:

  • IAAP, WAS, CPACC or other accessibility certification(s)

Supports multiple systems through maintenance, modification and problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of services and/or operations. Manages multiple applications/ development projects, or single major complex initiatives if a small area of the development function. Coordinates resources across various applications, operations or projects. Manages budget, monitors progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. May provide expertise in determining the strategic technical direction and system architecture for initiatives. Provides input on policy issues. Typically requires 7-10 years of applicable experience.

Role Overview The Incident and Problem Manager is a subject matter expert responsible for the daily oversight and governance of the Collins Aerospace ITIL based global ITSM process framework. You will manage operational and vendor teams and ensure that service levels are achieved. You will drive incident resolution efforts, root cause analysis and problem remediation, ensuring the implementation of permanent fix in production environment with the purpose of improving the availability of critical systems. You will provide leadership to various technical teams to guide them in their efforts during high priority ongoing incidents and problem management phases of the service management lifecycle, leveraging best practices according to the ITIL framework. You will manage all aspects of the Incident and Problem Management program, including developing and executing on the program roadmap, working with process owners and service providers to identify and manage Continuous Improvement projects and maturing the overall service capability. You will also oversee projects and initiatives that are part of the ITSM program. Principal Responsibilities: * Responsible for decisions related to prioritization and escalation of incidents, technical and business communication on outages and continuous improvement scoping and prioritization * Hosts Major Incident and Problem Review calls to determine root cause and action plan towards preventing problem recurrence * Manages the life cycle of all Major Incident and Problem records from Incident to root cause investigation.
