LPi is looking for an experienced Sales Trainer to add to our newly developed Ad Sales Training team. In this position, you will help to develop Ad Sales Executives by coaching them in the field at their accounts. Also, you will be instrumental in developing training materials and curriculum for our Advertising Sales Team.
Working with Ad Sales Executives in the field to establish individualized learning plans to further develop their sales skills and maximize their productivity.
Periodically check in to assess plan progress and make adjustments when necessary.
Evaluate training results and make specific recommendations to Regional Sales Managers on activities and coaching they can provide to sales executives to reinforce classroom and field development.
Cross trained in conducting in-house sales training classes
Develop and update instructional strategies and materials based on sales training best practices, including preparing for sales calls, making sales calls, completing relevant administrative paperwork, and other related success criteria to establish target behaviors
Conduct and evaluate sales training programs and materials determining the best training method such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, workshops, webinar, video-conference and pre-recorded instruction.
The Successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field or equivalent years of experience
A minimum of 3 years of sales training experience with formal training/education in needs assessment, curriculum development, program presentation and program evaluation
Enhanced listening skills to develop a consultative approach to coaching and ability to determine root causes for sales related performance issues
Have an analytical approach to problem-solving and training which will lead to increased productivity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a valid drivers license. Must carry acceptable level of liability insurance coverage for vehicle.
Travel: 50-60% overnight - depending on where you live
