Acute Care Business Manager
Recro Pharma is looking for exceptional candidates to fulfill the role of an Acute Care Business Manager for a fast-paced, startup opportunity for their first product commercialization. This is the chance to join a company working to provide non-opioid pain medications that may be appropriate for millions of surgical procedures requiring post-operative pain medication.
Recro Pharma, Inc. is a revenue generating specialty pharmaceutical company developing non-opioid therapeutics for the treatment of pain, initially for acute post-operative pain.
Recro Pharma has two product candidates in mid to late stage clinical trials for the management of acute post-operative pain. Recro has completed multiple Phase II & Phase III clinical trials for IV meloxicam, a proprietary, long-acting preferential COX-2 inhibitor, in patients with post-surgical pain. . We believe IV meloxicam compares favorably to competitive therapies in magnitude of pain relief, onset of pain relief, duration of pain relief and time to peak analgesic effect.
Dex-IN, a proprietary intranasal formulation of Dexmedetomidine, is currently being tested in Phase II clinical trials. Dexmedetomidine, or Dex, is a selective alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that has demonstrated sedative, analgesic and anxiolytic properties. If approved, Dex-IN would also be the first and only approved acute post-operative pain drug in its class of drugs.
Recro Pharma owns and operates an 87,000 square foot, DEA-licensed facility that manufactures five commercial products that are commercialized by partners, and receives royalties associated with the sales of these products.
The Acute Care Business Manager (ABM) will be responsible for achieving and maximizing territory and account sales goals through account management, high-level clinical proficiency and effective selling. The ABM will be the primary point of contact for Recro with key hospital influencers and decision makers across key functional areas including but not limited to surgeons, anesthesiologists, pharmacists and formulary committee members.
