Recro Pharma, Inc. is a revenue generating specialtypharmaceutical company developing non-opioid therapeutics for the treatment ofpain, initially for acute post-operative pain.
Recro Pharma has two product candidates in mid to late stage clinical trialsfor the management of acute post-operative pain. Recro has completed multiple
Phase II & Phase III clinical trials for IV meloxicam, a proprietary,long-acting preferential COX-2 inhibitor, in patients with post-surgical pain.. We believe IV meloxicam compares favorably to competitive therapies inmagnitude of pain relief, onset of pain relief, duration of pain relief andtime to peak analgesic effect.
Dex-IN, a proprietary intranasal formulation of Dexmedetomidine, is currentlybeing tested in Phase II clinical trials. Dexmedetomidine, or Dex, is aselective alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that has demonstrated sedative, analgesicand anxiolytic properties. If approved, Dex-IN would also be the first and onlyapproved acute post-operative pain drug in its class of drugs.
Recro Pharma owns and operates an 87,000 square foot, DEA-licensed facilitythat manufactures five commercial products that are commercialized by partners,and receives royalties associated with the sales of these products.
The Acute Care Business Manager (ABM) will beresponsible for achieving and maximizing territory and account sales goalsthrough account management, high-level clinical proficiency and effectiveselling. The ABM will be the primary point of contact for Recro with keyhospital influencers and decision makers across key functional areas includingbut not limited to surgeons, anesthesiologists, pharmacists and formularycommittee members.
Education & Experience:
Minimum of 5years pharmaceutical, surgery, biotech or related sales experience
Minimum of 3years hospital sales experience
Demonstratedtrack record of sales success and leadership
Ability tocomprehend and utilize technical information
Solidunderstanding of Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)/Hospital Marketplace
Active andcurrent relationships with target audience and KOLs within local geography
Stronglypreferred that candidates reside within territory
Surgical and/oracute care analgesia and/or anesthesia sales experience preferred
In depthknowledge of buy & bill system
