The position will be a member of the Globe Life Inc. Valuation and Financial Reporting team.
The ideal candidate will maintain a positive and supportive attitude, demonstrate strong data processing and analytical skills, and be committed to the successful attainment of his/her actuarial credentials.
Conduct GAAP and Statutory valuation and financial reporting
Prepare and process inforce and reserve data for reporting purpose
Complete regular reports and exhibits
Build and update the valuation and financial projection models within PolySystems
Manipulate large amounts of data to investigate/demonstrate trends
Improve and streamline the existing reporting processes for enhanced efficiency
Self-motivated in learning
Able to learn new concepts and processes in a relatively short period of time
Strong quantitative skills
A fundamental understanding of actuarial valuation and financial reporting
Accuracy and attention to detail in all work
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team-based environment
Experience working with MS Excel and SQL
PolySystems or similar actuarial software
Programming experience in VBA or other languages
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field required
Minimum of two exams from the Society of Actuaries desired
