Support actuarial and insurance advisory engagement teams providing services to clients in the health insurance industry. Focus areas including estimation of or evaluation of traditional health insurance unpaid claim liabilities and/or health benefits unpaid claim liabilities for self-funded employers.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday
Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive combined related experience in:
Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related, and 4 years of combined related experience in:
Must have 2 years of experience in performance and/or review of company calculations of non-lag-based health insurance liabilities in any combination of two of the following:
Provider bonuses, incentives, and risk-sharing
Premium deficiency reserves
Minimum loss ratio / risk corridor liabilities
Risk adjustment receivable/payables
Stop loss liabilities
Disabled life reserves (e.g., group disability, group life waiver, etc.)
Active life reserves (e.g., individual disability, supplemental health, etc.)
Must have passed 3 actuarial exams towards attaining a Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
Travel required approximately 80% to meet client needs.
